| Requirements and Responsibilities For CAD Support Technician III |
| Provides computer-aided design (CAD) support. Creates drafting files from notes or sketches, assists engineers and designers with the completion of drawings, and executes CAD file modification. Collaborates with engineers, designers, and drafters to understand the requirements of the initial designs. Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs. Maintains deadlines, goals, and production standards set by the department. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. |
